I feel the same way. I'm all for positivity. Mean girl actions turn me off immediately and at this age/stage miss me with all that negativity. Making friends has been a challenge; however, I have found when I do make a friend they are better quality/ more meaningful connections. (I'm a young senior 😅 53)

My daughter will be graduating college on May 6th and got a job that will take her an hour and half away for a job opportunity. This will be the first time she will be away from me and living on her own. I’m so happy that she got the job she’s been talking about since middle school but it is very bittersweet. When I called a girlfriend to share about my daughter’s job offer the first thing she said was, what are you going to do with yourself. I’m excited to be an empty nester and look forward to travel and figure out who I am outside of being a mom. Soon it will be me and my doodle fur baby.

Hey Friend, hey!🖤 I will say that I just love how open and excited you are to make new friends! 🖤🖤 The excitement that you showed when speaking about connecting with another RUclipsr was just so awesome! There are a lot of people in the world who feel like they have their circle and that’s all they need and are not willing to make new friends. I’ve actually found myself as I’ve gotten older closing out relationships and friendships that no longer serve me from my youth and young adulthood years, and creating/forming newer healthier ones that fit my lifestyle, my goals, my vision and are reciprocal in my 40s. Reciprocal relationships are the name of the game for me at 41! As far the arrangements they are also pretty and that vase from Hobby lobby is one that I have been looking at over and over but spent too much money the first time, so I’m gonna have to catch it on the sale the next time they have one! I can totally relate to your relationship with your daughter. My daughter and I are the same. She’ll be 23 soon and I still want her close. But like you said, it’s her life and she has to live it. Hey Keta, I have found it very hard to find friends that of a like mind. I have spent years moving to different parts of the country for my career. Also, I have been an empty nester for many years. It was hard for me then and lonely now. I savor my time with them when we are together.

I'm an empty nester too. I have two young adults I completely relate to you and understand how you're feeling ...as time go by... It will get better.
